Allison Sprouse

Allison created the Modern Hostess in January 2006. With a passion for entertaining and cultivating events full of personal expression – she enjoys designing each event with a unique and all about YOU approach! Her love for events started at a young age as an ordinary daily event would be turned into a reason to have a party! After living in London for a short time, her eyes were opened to a vast world of design and creativity!

Allison is a graduate of Samford University with a focus in advertising and public relations. Allison has a background in event planning as well as the behind the scenes approach of food and beverage.

When taking a break from the working world she loves to spend time with her husband Matt and preparing for their newest addition – Sophie Taylor – to the family in June!

Whitney Bowman

Whitney is recognized for creating unique, fun and amazing event experiences with her primary focus being one-of-a-kind weddings. Her goal is to bring to life every detail and desire the bride has wished for. Whitney puts a strong emphasis on building a personal relationship with each of her clients so that the couple not only enjoys the experience but has their total vision realized. Being a veteran in the event planning business Whitney has valuable relationships with the best vendors and enjoys creating weddings that are truly memorable.

Whitney is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a native Knoxvillian. She has over ten years experience in the event planning industry with a predominate background in social events and weddings.

When not on site at a wedding you can find Whitney with her husband of seven years and her two children, Fielden and Mary Caroline.
